On November 7, 2024, the Mobilize Against Poverty (MAP) team met with the Senior District Officer (SDO) of PortLoko District to share our vision and plans for empowering communities. The meeting was held at the SDO’s office and served as an opportunity to introduce MAP’s mission to fight poverty and foster sustainable development in the region.
The SDO warmly welcomed our team and expressed his admiration for the work MAP is doing to uplift communities. He acknowledged the value of our programs and pledged his full support to help ensure their success. During the meeting, the SDO encouraged MAP to connect with the Chief Administrator (CA) of the district council to strengthen coordination with other stakeholders in the district.
Speaking on behalf of the MAP team, Mrs. Mansaray assured the SDO that we are committed to working closely with local authorities, including the CA and community leaders, to create lasting impacts in the lives of those we serve. She emphasized that MAP’s work is only possible with the support of partners like the district administration and local communities.
The meeting ended on a positive note, with a shared determination to collaborate for the betterment of the district. MAP is excited to build on this partnership as we continue our journey to bring hope and opportunities to the people of PortLoko.
