Overview:
At Mobilize Against Poverty (MAP), we believe that empowering women and girls is the key to creating strong, thriving communities. When women and girls have access to education, economic opportunities, and leadership roles, they can achieve their dreams and make meaningful contributions to society. Our Women & Girls Empowerment initiatives aim to break down barriers like discrimination, poverty, and lack of access to resources, ensuring every woman and girl can reach her full potential. By addressing issues such as gender inequality, education gaps, and economic hardship, we work to create a world where women and girls are valued, supported, and empowered to lead.
Programs for Women & Girls:
- Education for Girls:
- Scholarships for school fees, supplies, and uniforms to help girls stay in school.
- Mentorship programs that connect young girls with female role models who inspire and guide them.
- Awareness campaigns that encourage communities to prioritize girls’ education and reduce early marriages.
- Economic Empowerment:
- Training in vocational skills such as tailoring, hairdressing, baking, and agriculture.
- Microloans and grants to help women start or expand small businesses.
- Financial literacy workshops to teach women budgeting, saving, and investment strategies.
- Leadership Development:
